Ernita
Ernita was elected to the Torch of Wisdom Foundation Board of Directors in 2019 and currently serves as the Marketing Director. As an Automotive Marketing and Sales professional with Ford Motor Company, Ernita retired after 31 years of service while holding several senior management positions at Marketing Headquarters and several Field locations.
Ernita became a Torch of Wisdom Foundation, Inc. board member because she wanted to give back to her community while utilizing her corporate experience and relationships. Additionally, this opportunity enabled her to learn more about working in the non-profit sector which she has always wanted to do. Ernita is motivated to give back because as a Christian, African American, and a woman, that is what is expected of her. If she is able to use the blessings (time, talents, resources, etc.) given to her to help and bless someone else then her living will not be in vain.
Ernita attended The Pennsylvania State University and earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and a Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University, Kellogg School of Management. She is an active member of the Southfield Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and Hope United Methodist Church.
